Big Bites for Little Bellies

Gympie RSL is proud to support Big Bites for Little Bellies as our June Community Raffles beneficiary.
Big Bites for Little Bellies is a local, community-led initiative dedicated to helping ensure that no child goes hungry during the school day. As the cost of living continues to rise, many families are facing increasing financial pressures, leaving some students without access to regular breakfasts, lunches, or nutritious snacks. Through the generosity of volunteers, local
businesses, and community members, Big Bites for Little Bellies works to bridge this gap and provide practical support where it is needed most.
The organisation assists schools throughout the region by supplying food for breakfast clubs, preparing lunch packs for students in need, and supporting a range of school-based
meal programs. Their mission is simple but incredibly important– ensuring children have access to food so they can focus on learning, participating, and reaching their full potential at
school.
The need for support continues to grow, with more than 14 local schools currently relying on assistance from the program. Every donation received helps volunteers respond to increasing demand and provide essential food supplies to students and families across our community.
Community members can also support the initiative through food donations. All donated items should be new, unopened, and within their use-by date. Home brand products are warmly welcomed, with every contribution helping to make a meaningful difference. Donations can be dropped off at Jacaranda Family Dental, PC Place, Amplifon, or 6 Hilltop
Avenue.

help ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive without the burden of hunger.
